OPERATING PRINCPLES OF PULSE JET BAG FILTER
Dust laden air or gases enter through the hopper by suction or positive pressure. The heavier dust particles fall immediately into the hopper, while the light dust is distributed and deposited on the outside surface of the filter bags. When a uniform layer of dust has been formed on the surface of the filter bags, it is removed on a predetermined cycle by high pressure compressed air pulse. Cleaning effectiveness is increased with the use of high efficiency venturi inserts that shape the initial pulse into a mass of air that travels down each filter bag expanding it and dislodging the dust layer from its outer surface.
The mass of air also draws secondary air from the surrounding adding the downward air flow. The dust removed falls into the hoppers and is discharged through various discharge arrangements.
OFFLINE PULSE JET BAG FILTER
Pneumatically operated poppet valve are located at the outlet of individual bag filter module. during pulse cleaning operation, individual oulet damper will get closed first and the respective module will “taken off” into filtration mode, pulse jet cleaning will be initiated and the entire operation will be controlled by a master sequential control panel sufficient time is allowed for fine dust particles to settle down in the hopper even after pulse jet cleaning operation is stopped, and tehn only the outlet damper opens up allowing the respective module to go into filtration mode. this off-line cleaning ensures smooth operation and longer bag life. moreover, on-line maintenance facilities can also be incorporated. individual hopper will have motorized rotary air lock valve fitted into it for disposal of dust followed by screw conveyor.
